It Will Blow Over treats the mirror as both surface and machine. The piece began as a wall-mounted etched mirror — It Will Blow Over (Worldview from the Arctic), 2008, edition of 5 — carrying an Arctic view into a domestic frame. Later versions replace the wall mount with a working freezer: a mirror inside the unit continuously fogs, frosts and clears, so the reflection the viewer sees is never fixed, only ever provisionally held. The work has been shown at Y Gallery, New York (2013), and in a presentation with Häusler Contemporary.
